No True Lover......

A simple plea to the fans - please mind your manners! This elegant, if wordy, sign was displayed at the South Side Grounds in Chicago from roughly 1905 to 1907. After that, they decided a more direct approach was more effective. Probably true, but this was a gem. Read it a few times, it's beautiful, much like the game we all love so much.

Each hand-pulled silkscreen print is laid onto a hand painted background giving the image the depth and character of a time worn sign. White ink on a field of Brick Red painted cover stock (the paper is white).

Open edition. Each 11x14 print is signed and titled by the artist. Prints are sold unframed.
