The spiritual home of baseball fans the world over.
Generations of fans, far and wide, have made the summertime pilgrimage to this beautiful village in Upstate New York, far off the tourist track, and worth every mile, simply to share in the common experience of baseball fandom, and to cheer on their heroes for one last hurrah.
For more than 20 consecutive years, we’ve personally made the trip, so it was particularly hard to consider a summer without it. Though the events were cancelled, and the crowds stayed home, we made the journey anyway. Baseball traditions are a beautiful thing, and we’re keeping with tradition.
Like all things in 2020, the plan for this collection changed as the days turned into months. Planned... paused... scrapped... renewed, and rethought. Ultimately, we've landed on a middle ground. Commemorating what would have been, if not for the viral cancellation on the event.
Hand made at our shop in Massachusetts, each baseball is covered in white baseball leather and hand sewn with waxed linen thread. Stamped markings are applied by hand using archival ink. Packaged in a beautiful, custom made letterpress box signed by the maker.
"Induction Disruption" and "Home of Baseball" are hand sewn with red/blue waxed linen thread. "Straight to Cooperstown" is hand sewn with navy/grey waxed linen thread. Thread color substitutions are available upon request.
Be safe. Be well. We’ll see you in Cooperstown next year.
